Thoughts
I first met Dave about 10 years ago at a Dorothy's Diner get together. Since then I've only known him to be welcoming, loving and a joy to be around - whether it's been a week or many months since our paths last crossed.
At several difficult times in my life we've chatted online, when he's also been a great source of comfort and wise counsel, for which I shall always be grateful. Much love and thanks to all his kin for sharing him so widely.

Gosh Dave, how did you do it, you were everywhere, always and with everyone. Not one person walking through the door that you did not talk to before they would leave again. The way how you tiredlessly encouraged, connected and built bridges between people and groups and families is and was an example and inspiration to all of us. Thank you.

Candles
Dear Dave, i lit a candle for you in the Cathedral in Puno, Peru, on the 28th May as a thank you for all you did for the LGBT+ community and for me personally. i came 10 years ago from a non-inclusive church and thinking "who am i to stand up against to world wide church and say, i am gay and God is ok with that?" you were a vital part in my jourey and bringing my two parts, faith in Jesus and being gay, together in my body and how i live life. Thank you, Dave. I miss you. xxx

I would like to pay tribute to Uncle David. Always positive, joyful and accepting. It was Dave who taught me that it was good to explore and question my faith.
He was a very positive influence in my life as well the lives of many others. He will be much loved and missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends.
